Eurovision Song Contest

The
Contest
Eurovision started in 1956 in Switzerland, at that time only France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium and the Netherlands participated. In 2022, 40 countries took part, excluding Russia and Belarus, which unfortunately cannot participate.
Eurovision has only been cancelled for 1 year, in 2020, which, due to Covid 19, could not take place.
Eurovision is the most watched music contest in Europe, although since the American Song Contest has lost some of the American audience, the audience levels are still nowhere near the same.
I had been watching Eurovision all my life, but from 2019, when Miki Nuñez (from Spain) was chosen to go to Eurovision, I became a fan, as Miki previously competed in a Spanish music show called "Operación Triunfo" which I was a fan of.
In 2022 I started making videos for YouTube because I really saw a high level and I found it very interesting. I had a great time watching interviews, the turquoise carpet and the rehearsals.
My favourite was Chanel, not only because it was from my country, but also because it was the typical Eurovision song. It came in a very good position (3rd), although it seemed unfair to me. Although there is nothing left to do, I want to say that I am a fan of Chanel and her song, SloMo.

Creators
Who are the creators of Eurovision?
Based on the San Remo Festival (Italy), the first Eurovision Song Contest was the brainchild of Marcel Bezençon, former president of the European Broadcasting Union. The ultimate aim of the organisation was to bring people together in music and to showcase European music to the world.
Why is Eurovision SO IMPORTANT in Europe?
Eurovision is a single night of the year. It is a night when there is a big party where most of the countries of Europe sing and dance. Eurovision gives a feeling of closeness to other countries, which is something that not all competitions achieve.
Eurovision brings good music but it also brings fun. Eurovision night is a good time to spend with your family and have fun.
Apart from all this, Eurovision also brings to light the diverse culture and languages we have in Europe and brings to light young artists who can become stars.
That is Eurovision, a night to laugh, dance, sing and enjoy.
